"A Champion's Heart is a Christ-like Heart"

Our vision is to build scholars and champions through character development that brings glory to God.  The school was built to bring glory to God’s name and to that end, we have a desire to find God’s call on the life of each individual student that attends Horizon Christian High School.  Our students are treated with the respect given to people created in the image of God and we believe that God does not create junk or sponsor flops.  To be a student at Horizon Christian High is to look deeply into what it means to be a child of God and to discover one’s gifts and then give those gifts back to God through service to others.  Mark 12: 30-31 says we are to love God with all our hearts, mind, soul, and strength and we are to love our neighbors as ourselves.  So how do we do this?

Our model for being, doing, and having what God wants for us, is to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and be born again.  All of our staff are Christians, and we desire that each student be treated with love and respect for the special creation they are.  Therefore we reach out into the greater Portland community and invite students who have an interest in becoming all that they can be to come check us out.  We will teach you how to compete in the classroom, on the stage, and at the arena whether it be in athletics or in activities. We believe in the possibility for a “Total Release Performance”   This can only be accomplished by modeling Jesus Christ who we believe showed us how to have an abundant life, act morally, and be the best we are capable of becoming.  Christ was the greatest champion the world has ever known.  The more we become like Him, and the more we let His spirit fill and renew our mind, the more we develop the “Heart of a Champion”.

God willing, we hope to graduate thousands of students from the Horizon campus and that these same students will impact the world as people of influence.  Our graduates will lead their communities and change lives one heart at a time.

God Bless,
